The Energy And Environment Foundation Global Maritime Awards recognize commitment and significant achievements in the ocean, shipping, ports, terminals, logistics, safety and security in the international maritime industry within several categories to honor and reward those initiatives and contributions for improving the health of the ocean maritime environment and stimulate maritime ecosystem awareness. The Global Awards shall focus on digital solutions, state-of-the-art-infrastructure, outstanding operational efficiency, consistency in service, quality, innovation and adopting application of digital technology, conservation, smart, safe and sustainable maritime development as well as customer relationship and reliability. Leaders, professionals, projects, ports, terminals, shipping and logistic companies can apply for one or several categories online that will be made confidential. The global awards shall encourage and celebrate the responsible smart, safe and sustainable maritime business movement across the globe towards Net zero, protecting biodiversity people and planet.

How the Nomination Process Works

Nominations for the EEF Global Maritime Awards 2024 open on April 1, 2024 and close on September 30, 2024.

Nominate a company, shipping, tanker, cargo, port, terminal, logistic, infrastructure, safety, service company, technology or an initiative by an individual to be recognised by the EEF Global Maritime Awards. These Awards are open for all global shipping, port, terminal, logistic, infrastructure, safety & services sectors, Corporates, Public (PSUs), Private, Large, Medium, Service Sector Companies / Organizations / Units / Projects and their team. All nominee applications are made confidential.

  • Award Nominations can only be submitted through e-mail to dranilgarg@ee-foundation.org | dranilgarg2011@gmail.com
  • A 300 word summary description must be submitted along with a short project video with each nomination, this must include specific and strong information that will allow jury to evaluate your nomination against others. What is unique or special about this nomination and why you believe it should be considered for the EEF Global Maritime Awards 2024.

Nominations open on April 1, 2024 and close on September 30, 2024. The awards will be announced in the November 15, 2024. Award Ceremony will be held on December 9, 2024.

Criteria for Nominations

Entering a nomination for the EEF Global Maritime Awards 2024:
Criteria and guidelines
  1. The company, project, or initiative towards sustainability and Net zero must be able to demonstrate a significant contribution to the Maritime industry. Specific factors to highlight are: improved operations and energy efficiency, technological innovation, safety and the implementation of sustainable eco-friendly maritime models.

  2. The outcomes of the project or initiative of shipping, port, terminal, logistic, infrastructure, safety & services company must have been reported.

  3. In the event that the company, project, or initiative of shipping, tanker, cargo, port, terminal, logistic, infrastructure, safety & services is shortlisted after the nominations process, the company’s CEO/Senior Executive should be available to attend the EEF Global Maritime Awards Ceremony on December 9, 2024 where the winner will be honored with the EEF Global Maritime Awards-2024.

Awards Shortlisting

The EEF Global Maritime Awards shortlisting process is the procedure by which the pool of nominations submitted in the open nomination phase are examined by a panel of independent experts, who shortlist the entries and compile them into award categories. Shortlisted Nominees (Award Winners) will selected by the eminent jury and announced well in advance online on November 15, 2024.

The winners of the Awards will be announced and honoured and conferred with the award at the Global Maritime Awards ceremony on December 9, 2024. We wish everyone the best of luck!

Award processing fee includes, 2 complementary pass for the EEF Global Award Ceremony on December 9, 2024.

Application for the Global Maritime Awards 2024, complete with all information, documents and short video alongwith applicable fee, should reach Secretariat in soft (pdf file) and hard form on or before September 30, 2024.

The EEF Maritime Leadership Award

Description: The EEF Maritime Leadership’ Award goes to the private / public shipping, tanker, cargo, port, terminal, logistic, infrastructure & services company that can able to demonstrate an outstanding change in performance improvement.

  1. The shipping, port, terminal, logistic, infrastructure, safety & services company must by publicly / privately owned;
  2. The company must be able to demonstrate a step-change in performance improvement.
  3. In the event that the utility is shortlisted after the nominations process, the utility’s CEO/Director should be available to attend The EEF Global Maritime Award’s Ceremony on December 9, 2024, where the winner will be honoured with The EEF Global Maritime Award 2024.

The EEF Maritime Technology Idol 2024

The technology with the application of artificial intelligence (AI), IoT, Big Data, Blockchain, Robotics, Cloud to demonstrate realistic expectations for enhancing speed of operation, value addition and commercialization in maritime business.

In the event that the project is shortlisted after the nominations process, a senior representative from the company must be available to attend the World Oil Spill Conference and make a 15 minute presentation at the designated session on the afternoon of December 9, 2024.
